Quality Blogs To Learn From
August 13th, 2008‘Wordless Wednesday’ – to be honest, I couldn’t let the day slip by without a quick post about a blog I came across via Entrecard – btw – Entrecard is a fairly new way of promoting your blog in the blogging community, and it’s absolutely free to join. Enough said…
Back to that blog I came across – nothing new in finding a blog you haven’t seen before, but truth be told if I hadn’t been a member of the Entrecard community, chances are I wouldn’t have discovered it until much later – and possibly not at all.
The blog I’m talking about is Stephan Miller’s, where I’ve spent some time today reading through some of his well written articles that are packed with invaluable tips and guidelines – lots to learn from and geared toward the blogging community.
In my post of August 11 Simple techniques that get much more traffic to your blog I mentioned ‘pillar articles’ or what some people call ‘link bait pieces’ – without being an expert I think it’s safe to say that the majority of Stephan’s articles sum up what a pillar article is.
I like this blog for more reasons than one. The language Stephan uses is clear and to the point, almost everyone reading his pieces will know at a glance what’s going on at this site, he gets the message across without difficulty.
Site navigation is visitor friendly, each article layout is setup for easy reading, with sections and headings. Each article provides a great deal of value to the reader without a sales pitch.
Another good point I liked, which I haven’t seen much of is Stephan’s ‘I follow’ page. Besides that he must have some kind of record when it comes to online profiles – I lost count of how many, but these profiles probably took a fair amount of time to set up and I’m sure they are paying off.
There are millions of really good blogs out there and I’m sure we’ll get around to mentioning them too – for now hop on over to Stephan Miller’s blog and read every scrap of info he’s offering. I’ve learned a lot from my visits today and there’s lots more to come I’m sure.

Great post, I too am a fan of Stephen Miller. Writing pillar posts certainly is the way to go. It gives your readers the chance to read regular posts which they know what the content will be.
I post a Wordless Wednesday article, and with great success. Next will be Free Energy Friday, Solar Sunday etc.
